William K. Jurika

Bill Jurika is responsible for investment strategy and asset allocation for Jurika, Mills & Keifer, as well as working with the firm’s financial advisory clients.

Bill combines a strong entrepreneurial spirit with investment and business experience spanning 40 years of economic and market cycles. He is known for his practical perspective on business and investing rooted in fundamental analysis and common sense. He is long-time student of the markets and investor psychology and over the years has shown a willingness to buck trends and challenge conventional wisdom. His candid views have been featured in financial media such as Fortune and Barron’s.

Before founding Jurika, Mills and Keifer in 2005, he was president and chief executive officer of Jurika & Voyles, which he co-founded in 1981 and grew to over $7 billion in assets before it was sold in 1997. Prior to Jurika & Voyles, Bill advised clients at Hambrecht and Quist, as well as EF Hutton and Francis I. Dupont & Co.

Bill served on the board of Emida Corporation, a prepaid communications services company. He was actively involved in the recapitalizing and restructuring of management and boards of several companies, as well as the recapitalizaiton and Quadramed Corporation, where he served on the board from 2001 until 2005.

Bill holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Denver and is an active leader in development and environmental initiatives spearheaded by his alma mata.

He takes an active role in philanthropy through organizations such as the Breast Cancer Fund and Operation Rainbow, a consortium of doctors donating their services for those in extreme need in Ecuador. In addition to a passion for investing, Bill excels at skiing, surfing and sea kayaking.
